Arab Sheikh Carved Two-Miles Long Name In Sand

Many of us have written our names on beach and then seen them washed away by waves, but one super-rich Arab Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, 63, decided to write his name on Al Futaisi island that cannot be washed away so easily therefore he carved the name HAMAD so big that you can see them even from space. The word ‘HAMAD’ measures 1,000 metres high and is a staggering two miles long from the ‘H’ to the ‘D’. Rather than allow the writing to be washed away by the ocean, the letters actually create waterways that absorb the power of the tide. His name is even visible on Google’s map service. Sheikh Hamad is also known for his generous donations to the medicine field. He has supplied a complete kidney stone operating theatre to a public hospital in Morocco where he continues to fund its staff.
